Sebastiaan Veldhuisen

Sebas is an independent Dutch architect. He is involved in projects on a wide range of scales: from product design to interior design, renovation and urban projects. He is guest lecturer at the Faculty of Architecture, TU Delft. In the past he worked as a theatre maker with the Silo theater. Currently he also works as consultant sustainable urban development.

Sebas Veldhuisen is rooted in The Hague, a city with many faces. He often wanders through the streets and parks, or walks along the beach and dunes with a camera and his white shepherd dog.

With a father and grandfather, both enthusiastic photographers for still and moving images. Sebas followed their footsteps since he first got a Kodak Instamatic at six years of age. A few dozen cameras and decades later he is still intrigued by the magic of looking through a lens to find the unexpected. In a world overloaded with images that strive for perfection, the imperfect, unfocussed image gets a new meaning. Sebastiaan hopes to explore this meaning here.
